Improving Website Rankings
Each major search engine publishes a list of guidelines to help you improve your rankings. Reviewing these guidelines and being aware of what is considered acceptable and not acceptable will help you win at the search engine game.

Once you have a search engine-friendly, search engine-optimized website (and if you are a Websketching client, chances are that you do), you need to get it listed on the major search engines. Google is probably the most important of all as it is not only the most popular; it is also used to provide the ""main results"" for various other search engines.
Submit your URL to Google.
Submit your URL to MSN.
Submit your URL to Yahoo!
While there is much to learn regarding SEO techniques, the basics to getting a decent listing are simple:
-
create a clean website with relevant content
-
use your keywords in the correct places (title tag, meta tags, headings, content, links)
-
get some quality links to your site
-
submit your site to the search engines
-
review and make adjustments as necessary
Good Luck!
