Best of Salem County winners are announced for 2011: Residents pick their favorite Salem County businesses from 99 categories
SALEM — The votes have been tallied and the results are in for the winners of the 2011 Best of Salem County contest.
Local residents were asked to cast their ballots for their favorite Salem County businesses in 99 different categories this year. It’s a wide range of categories from accountants to plumbers to the places to find the best food, all here in Salem County.
The annual contest is sponsored by The Salem County Chamber of Commerce, the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Today’s Sunbeam.
“The chamber would like to congratulate this year’s Best of Salem County winners! It’s really terrific to know that so many of our residents are choosing local businesses for products and services,” said chamber Executive Director Jennifer Jones.
"What most folks don’t realize is that small business owners work longer hours, holidays and weekends and have to be extremely creative to market their businesses. I’m so pleased with the show of support our residents have shown for our local businesses."
The winners will be recognized at the 2011 Best of Salem County Awards Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Centerton Country Club in Pittsgrove.
